To escape one of our many heat waves, I was out on Two Mile Hollow Beach in East Hampton the other weekend having a breezy time among a predominance of families. Surprisingly, the children made for some of the best people watching of the day. They started out shy, playing cautiously and nicely. Then they found crabs and began to run amok…
They ran back to their parents and ran back to the water, carefully cupping the crabs. And as they ran, the ruffles on their bikinis flapped. And all of the girls had ruffles! So I started looking into it, and there is much we older folk can learn from. Here are some styles that will keep you lady-like (not five-years-old) and round out your summer lineup.
